Osteopaths treat pain, stiffness and dysfunction in the body from headaches to plantar fasciitis; we are experts in anatomy, physiology, pathology but also a wider understanding of the bio/psycho/social aspects of medicine. For example, worry in your life will accentuate pain and stiffness.

Pain is more than a stiff joint; your health, life and general mental state will all be affected. We are also trained in current pain science models which promote the inbuilt strength, resilience and recovery potential of our bodies.

We spend time with our clients to find out what pain problems they need solving. We work in partnership with our clients to help them towards less pain and better health and mobility.

Not every problem is suitable for osteopathic treatment and we will refer as appropriate.

We know that our bodies are amazing and given the right help and care will serve us well, change is always possible no matter what your age or state of health.

We want you to be able to live your life as fully and freely as possible and our aim is to help you onto the right path as quickly as possible.

Did you know...?

Osteopathy is named from Osteo (bone) and pathos (suffering); it’s not just about bones it starts with the bones.

Osteopathy emerged from the USA in the 1870’s was taught in the UK from 1917 and has grown and developed from that point.

Osteopaths are medically trained and a profession allied to medicine; we undertake a four-year full-time training and lifelong continuing professional development. We are regulated by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and have to re-register annually to maintain our professional indemnity insurance. We cannot practice if we are not registered with the GOsC.
