Hello! I'm Carol and I have been an Osteopath for nearly two-thirds of my life. All of this from a chance encounter with a trainee Osteopath on a night out in Guildford in the 1970’s.

I believe that good health and function comes from paying kind attention to ourselves. Our lives can be challenging in many ways and not just physically.  Overwhelm and anxiety are common then physical aches and dysfunction can occur.  Our bodies are strong and resilient, but we occasionally lose sight of that.

I offer a unique blend of a wealth of osteopathic experience with a cutting edge understanding of pain and anxiety conditions. Add this to a willingness to listen and a desire to help. This equals a treatment tailored precisely to your needs, blending hands on help with listening and coaching. I work in partnership with my clients so that between us we can find the perfect solutions for your problems.

I love my work and am so grateful for that night out all those years ago; it was totally life changing. I also believe that as an Osteopath I should “walk the walk” and I will not ask you to do what I am not prepared to do myself. Therefore, I eat well, walk daily, gym intermittently  and practice Yoga weekly. I also love to cook, garden, read, learn, sew, write, draw (very badly), watch films and take photos. I am also fascinated by people and their lives (just as well really!).

I believe that a little bit of care and the right information, tailored specifically for you, is enough to enable you to work and play with ease.

I have had a lifelong interest in helping people to cope with life’s challenges. Having previously gained first class honours in Psychology, I was delighted to graduate top of my year at the British School of Osteopathy, winning prizes in academic and clinical excellence.

I am hugely passionate about the role osteopathy can play in promoting optimal physical function, systemic health and overall wellbeing. With first-hand experience working in advertising and music video production, and as a parent with two young children, I am all too aware of the difficulty of balancing personal and professional demands, and how hard it can be to allocate regular time for yourself. I believe that osteopathy is ideally placed to help people improve every aspect of their life.

My practice aims to engage with your unique musculoskeletal and functional systemic problems, and lifestyle demands, incorporating a wide variety of manual techniques, a good listening ear and the odd joke along the way. I strongly believe that fun is the final piece of the puzzle in leading a happy, healthy existence!
