Welcome to Carol Plumridge Osteopathy
I trained at the University College of Osteopathy (formally the British School of Osteopathy) and graduated in 1980 after a four-year full time training. I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council and maintain the Osteopathic Standards of Practice. I see clients that are referred from GP’s and who also self refer. I am insured with The Institute of Osteopathy.
Clients come with spinal and joint problems, headaches and symptoms that have developed due to accidents. I take a holistic view of every client and will look at their general health, stress levels, lifestyle and exercise habits. So I can offer high quality and personalised health care.
Read about what you can expect from your osteopathic consultation here.
I work in Chippenham and at Patford House surgery in Calne, appointments for both locations can be booked through the Chippenham office or click on the link below.
The practice will remain closed until we are directed by the government that it is safe to re-open.
During these early weeks of lockdown I have discovered how useful video consultations can be to clients. Understanding and explaining your problem, providing reassurance and referral where necessary plus strategies to help you recover are all possible via telehealth.
Therefore I am offering 30 minute telehealth consultations at a cost of £30. You can also book a free 15 min phone consultation to discuss your current problem and we can find the best way forward. Booking is quick and easy via our online booking system. Click on the button below.
I will also be posting useful advice and videos on Facebook and Instagram to help keep you all flexible and pain free.
I would like to thank you all for the the support and good wishes that you have offered me; you are all magnificent! This crisis has made me realise just how much I love my job.
Take very good care of yourselves and your loved ones and don't hesitate to contact me if you need help.

Following a Trimalleolar ankle fracture and insertion of plates etc I needed advice on exercises to regain mobility of my ankle and increase the weight bearing capacity. Even though Carol is not able to undertake face to face consultations she undertook a video consultation which was incredibly helpful. She followed up with excercises and videos to help.
I am now on the road to recovery and am very grateful to Carol who has provided a positive input towards that recovery. MK May 2020
