Welcome to Carol Plumridge Osteopathy
Osteopathy is the choice of therapy for clients who have neck or back pain, headaches, sciatica, joint pain or stiffness, pain after injuries or muscular aches and pain associated with pregnancy.
Our lives can be challenging in many ways and not just physically. Overwhelm, anxiety and stress are common and are often the cause of physical aches and dysfunction.
Our bodies are strong and resilient, it’s easy to lose sight of that in the hustle and bustle of busy lives. Pain is rarely just physical. It often has roots that go deeper into our mind, body and emotions. The most effective treatment goes deeper, to explore underlying stress, anxiety, emotions as well as lifestyle factors.
I work in partnership with you to find the perfect blend of hands on treatment, exercises and listening.

Osteopathy is the first complementary healthcare to be given statutory recognition by the UK government.
Osteopaths are recognised by the NHS, and, like doctors, we must maintain annual and career-long continuing professional development to retain our registration. No referral is needed before making an appointment.

I trained at the University College of Osteopathy (formally the British School of Osteopathy) and graduated in 1980 after a four-year full-time training. I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council and maintain the Osteopathic Standards of Practice. I am insured with The Institute of Osteopathy.
I have recently completed a life coaching course with the Martha Beck Institute and I am now offering coaching as a separate entity, as well as using my listening skills in my osteopathic work.

Testimonials
Treatment is always first class. It’s easy to book appointments and get seen to at short notice. I still tend to go for a monthly MOT which I think is helpful. JR
